Punjab Police Launches Toll-Free Helpline to Tackle Organised Crime

State Police Chief Gaurav Yadav assured citizens that all information shared on the helpline will be kept strictly confidential and that callers’ identities will be fully protected. He urged the public to come forward without fear, saying, “Every report will be treated with utmost seriousness. Together, we can build a safer Punjab.”
The initiative aims to encourage community participation in curbing crime by making it easier for citizens to directly report threats or suspicious activities. Officials say the helpline is part of a broader strategy to crack down on criminal networks and restore peace across the state.
